Edward Joseph Horrell, 71, died March 29 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born on November 10, 1924, son of late Dennis V. and Caroline E. Laurentius Horrell. He married Celestine M. Arnzen on September 16, 1950.

Horrell was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Glennon and was a World War II veteran and a farmer.

Survivors include his wife, two sons, Michael Horrell of St. Genevieve and Kenneth Horrell of Marble Hill; two daughters, Diane Horrell of Marble Hill and Nancy McClain of Kelso; three brothers, Leo Horrell and Robert Horrell, both of Marble Hill and Louis Horrell of St. Louis; a sister, Mathilda Eftink of Portageville and five grandchildren.

Liley Funeral Home of Marble Hill handled arrangements.

Funeral Mass and burial was conducted Monday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Glennon.
