Leo Francis Horrell, age 87, of Glennon, MO died Friday, May 4, 2007 at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO.

He was born January 4, 1920 at Drum, MO son of Dennis Vincent and Caroline Elizabeth Laurentius Horrell. He and Anna Marie Wubker were married on March 20, 1944 and she died May 9, 2004.

Mr. Horrell was a member of the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus, President of the Leopold School District for several years, and was a farmer all of his life.

He served in the United States Navy as a ship’s cook during WWII.

Survivors include; three sons; Aaron (Paula) Horrell of Chaffee, Dennis (Pam) Horrell of Leopold, MO, Joe Horrell of Glennon, six daughters, Bernice (John) Springer and Judy (Jim) Sander of Jackson, Shirley (Larry) Schott of Millersville, Gladys (Bob) Hency of Cape Girardeau, Barbara (Leonard) Engelen of Leopold, Kateri (Matt) Ruch of Daisy, one daughter-n-law, Nancy Horrell of Cape Girardeau, two brothers, Louis Henry Horrell of St. Louis, MO, Robert Henry Horrell of Glennon, MO, one sister, Matilda Rachel Eftink of Portageville, MO, twenty five grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, one son Norman, one brother Edward "Ed" Joseph Horrell, one grandson and one great granddaughter.

In Lieu of Flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.

Visitation will be Monday, May 7, 2007 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the St. Anthony’s Church in Glennon, MO.

Funeral Mass will be Monday at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Glennon, Rev. Bill Huggins Officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
