Alvin Stause, 66, of Glennon, Mo., passed away June 3, 2011, at his home. Born on April 19, 1945, he was the son of Hubert and Mayme Beel Stause.

He married Judy Thele on August 5, 1967, at St. John Catholic Church in Leopold. She survives, During the 1960's he served in the Missouri National Guard. He worked as a carpenter most of his life and retired from Beussink & Salyer Construction.

He was a life-long member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Glennon, a member of the church parish council, and a 3rd degree Knight of Columbus with Council 5898 at Leopold.

Besides his wife he is survived by two sons: Scott (Jeannine) Stause of Oran, Mo., and Patrick (Karina) Stause of Burton, Mich.; three sisters: Marie (Sis) Hinkebein, and Ella Elfrink, both of Jackson, Mo., and Margie Klipfel of New Hamburg; a brother, Norman Stause of Dexter, Mo., and eight grandchildren: Steven, Teshia, Codey, Nick, Austin, Shane, Brianna, and Allison. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Jim, Patrick, Robert and Clarence (Peck) Stause.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 5, 2011, at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill from 4 until 8 p.m. Parish prayers will be at 7:00 p.m. with a Knights of Columbus rosary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2011, at St. Anthony Church at Glennon. Fr. Robert Landewe will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
