Funeral mass and burial for Elmer G. VanGennip of Lutesville was held May 7 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church.

Mr. VanGennip, 66 years old died May 4, 1988 at St. Francis Medical Center. He was born November 21, 1921 at Glennon, son of Alfred and Mary Beel VanGennip Sr. He and the former Eula Steinnerd were married April 11, 1950.

He was a retired farmer and member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Father Wells KC Council of Glennon and DAV.

Survivors are his wife; three sons, Michael, Lynn and Richard VanGennip of Lutesville; two daughters, Mrs. Dianne Holzum of Leopold and Sharon VanGennip of Lutesville; a brother Norman VanGennip of Lutesville; a sister, Ms. Agnes Nenninger of Bloomfield and eight grandchildren.

Three brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.
