Funeral mass and burial for Louis Joseph VanGennip of Lutesville will be held September 24 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Glennon.

Mr. VanGennip died September 21, 1987 at St. Francis Medical Center. He was 64. He was born March 3, 1923 in Bollinger County, son of the late Alfred and Mary Beel VanGennip. He married Alfredia Blackwell in November 1963. She survives.

Mr. VanGennip and if was a farmer and a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Glennon and Knights of Columbus of Advance. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army.

Survivors include one son, Tony VanGennip at of Advance; two stepsons, Joe and Steve Corbin of Southerlin, Ore.; Two brothers Norman and Elmer VanGennip of Lutesville; one sister, Mrs. Agnes Nenninger of Bloomfield and five stepchildren.

Two brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.
