Funeral service and burial for Mrs. Emma Elizabeth Beel of Lutesville was held Saturday at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Glennon. Mrs. Beel died Tuesday, June 5, 1990 at Bond Nursing Center. She was 94.

She was born January 11, 1896 at Biehle, daughter of John and Annie Smith Laurentius. She married George Albert Beel, Sr. January 11, 1917. He died June 16, 1964.

She was a member of St. Anthony Church and its Ladies Sodality.

Survivors are five daughters, Agnes Peters of Lutesville, Sophia Schafer of Jackson, Ruth Fluegge of Pevely, Carrie Macke of St. Louis, Laverne Winebarger of Fredericktown; three sons, John Beel of Massachusetts, Edward Beel of Cape Girardeau, Charlie Beel of Florissant; 31 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

A son and 3 sisters preceded her in death.
