Service and burial was held for Joseph Bueter Saturday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Glennon. Mr. Bueter died Thursday, January 1, 1987 at the family home at Leopold of apparent heart attack. He was 72. He was born in St. Louis February 6, 1914, son of Anton and Mary Elfrink Bueter.

He was a retired maintenance employee with Missouri Highway Department and a farmer.

He married Nora A. DeBrock on September 2, 1942 and she survives, also five sons, Kenny of Advance, Norbert of House Springs, Michael of Jackson, Anthony of St. Louis and Richard of Leopold; four daughters, Mrs. Carolyn Friedhoff of St. Louis, Audrey Nenninger and Darlene Stoverink of Leopold, Norma Nenninger of Lutesville and 16 grandchildren.

One brother and a sister preceded him in death.

Mr. Bueter had lived in the area since early childhood. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church at Glennon and Fourth degree Knights of Columbus at Leopold.
