Clarence Trankler, 76, of St. Louis died Thursday, August 9, 1990 at St. Louis University Hospital.
He was born July 21, 1914 at Glennon, the son of William and Willamine Brands Trankler.
He was a retired electrician from St. Louis Shipyards amd a member of St. Henry's Immaculate Conception Church in St. Louis.
On October 12, 1938, he married the Dorthy VanderMierden. She survives.
In addition, he is survived by two sons, Milford and Joseph Trankler both of St. Louis; four daughters, Norma Holsem, St. Charles, Alma Holzer, Imperial, Patricia Wells, Bowling Green, Ky., Mary Ellen Bucher, St. Louis; three brothers, Chris Trankler, Oran, Milford Trankler, St. Peters, William Trankler, Benton; two sisters, Alma Welch, Salem, and Marie Eftink, Oran.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home today at noon. Parish prayers will be held at 8 p.m.
Funeral mass will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church at Glennon with the Rev. Louis Henje officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
